Agreement to Terms

By using DC Courier Services ("we," "us," "our") or our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

Services

DC Courier Services provides same-day courier, medical delivery, document delivery, long-distance delivery, hotel courier, multi-stop delivery, and related logistics services in the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia metropolitan area. We reserve the right to refuse service to any customer at our discretion.

Booking and Payment

• All bookings are subject to our acceptance and availability.
• Pricing starts at $67 for short distances. Final pricing is calculated based on location, item dimensions, pickup time, and service type.
• Payment is due upon completion of service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• We accept credit cards and ACH transfers. Invoices are available for business accounts.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your booking at no charge prior to courier dispatch. Once a courier has been dispatched to pickup, cancellation fees may apply. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel.

Prohibited Items

We do not transport:

• Illegal substances or contraband
• Hazardous materials (explosives, flammable liquids, toxic substances) outside of proper regulated channels
• Firearms or ammunition
• Live animals
• Cash or negotiable instruments without prior written agreement
• Items that violate federal, state, or local laws

Packaging Requirements

You are responsible for properly packaging items for transport. Medical specimens must be packaged according to applicable regulations. We are not liable for damage resulting from inadequate packaging.

Delivery Times

We make every effort to meet estimated delivery times. However, delivery times are estimates and not guarantees. We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, security screening at government or medical facilities, or other factors beyond our reasonable control.

Liability and Insurance

DC Courier Services is licensed and insured. Our standard liability is limited to $100 per shipment unless higher coverage is purchased in advance. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages. Claims must be submitted in writing within 30 days of delivery.

Medical and HIPAA

For medical specimen and healthcare-related deliveries, we follow HIPAA-aware handling procedures and maintain chain of custody documentation. Customers are responsible for providing proper packaging, labeling, and any required documentation for regulated medical materials.

GPS Tracking

All deliveries are GPS-tracked. Location data is used for delivery purposes only and retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Customer Responsibilities

• Provide accurate pickup and delivery addresses
• Ensure items are ready for pickup at the scheduled time
• Provide accurate contact information for both sender and receiver
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of DC Courier Services or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services will be resolved in the courts of the District of Columbia.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
